Story Board

This was my original storyboard for the project but I ended up changing the final parts. Instead of people in a place I chose a map and instead of the kid reading a book I chose a computer

The product being sold is a driver. The target audience happens to be golfers that are interested in a high end golf club. The commercial is successful because it uses some of the top golfers in the world to test the product.

The products being sold are all Nike golf equipment. It uses Tiger Woods as the perfect example of a great golf swing

Brochure

I designed the background in illustrator, added pictures and then typed the description of the company

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

I placed two rectangles on the top and bottom and had them bleed over the page for printing. I then placed the logo in the top left corner and then the business information under it

Monday, March 19, 2012

I decided to take the original sketch concept and use that as the front side of the card. Then I did only text on the back with the intentions of the company and then the address

My process was taking 3 pictures, two of both heaven and hell and one of a guy from the band Veil of Maya. I placed him over the hell picture and I cropped heaven and used to smudge tool on the top of hell and the bottom of heaven.

This is my Teach Everything logo. I originally wanted to do a gradient with different shades of green but I thought it would be too flashy. I chose a font that would appeal to students mainly because the product would be about education. I chose green because it seemed organic instead of something that was strictly futuristic and intimidating like sliver, blue or red. I placed two elipses over each other and excluded the middle to make it look like a ring with two twists in it.

A Calligramme with a pretty good point

This calligramme is a picture of the logo for the best video game ever made( in my opinion). Its Final Fantasy X. It goes along with my love for JRPGs like .hack//, Star Ocean and Dragon Quest

Logo Critiques

The Squarespace is a webhosting company. Their logo has a smooth and professional feel to it the moment you look at it. Compared to other webhosting logos it feels more cutting edge, high quality and serious.

Revision3 is an internet television website. In the logo there is even a television in it. The word Revision3 holds no other meaning outside of the site and makes people want to learn more about what its about the moment you see it.
The Square Enix logo shows a video game company. Its logo seems tech friendly in a way that would appeal to a "geek/nerd" type of crowd. like myself.
The Dragon Ball Z logo is possibly one of the most well known cartoon logos of all time. Its exciting, it jumps out at the viewer and its sharp. When I look at it I see excitement and  action.
The Naruto logo is intriguing when you first see it. Its cartoonish looking, it has bright colors that would appeal to young children, and for those who don't know Japanese( and many of us fall into that sad sad boat) its something different and foreign that makes us wonder what it really is.

Company Ideas

My first idea for a company would be called the Sunshine Golf Tour. The company would be a golf tour that was for less experienced professionals that wanted to sharpen their game before going to play on a larger tour.

My second idea for a company would be called FREAKQUENTBUYER where a consumer sets up an account with businesses of their choice and the more they buy of that company's product, the less they are charged. Everything is done by one company as a proxy to help negotiate prices with consumers

The third idea that I would like to do would be called AppRep. Its where people become freelance reviewers for companies that have signed up and based on that persons reviews and how many people view them and the product, that individual will get discounts and promotions with the company

My fourth idea would be a video game called Tampa Streets. It would be a real world video game based on being an individual in the city of Tampa

My fifth idea would be called Teach Everything. It would be a site where people post information on ways to do things from cooking to math and people would post reviews on how great the tutorials are. There would be premium accounts and sections specifically for different lessons.
Hello, my name is James Coonce and I'm starting a blog not only for my ART 210 class but to also help with my jump into the world of digital art and bring out the artist inside of me. First off, I'm a sophomore at the University Tampa and I'm a MIS and Marketing double major. I play golf and I love learning as much as i can about computers. I'm a certified A+ PC technician and CCENT networking technician. By the end of this class, I would like to to be able to comfortably express my artistic ideas in Adobe CS5 and start using the skills that I learned to make art for my apps
